Tenby Blues Festival, 13-15 November 2009

Posted on October 29th, 2009

Tenby’s fourth Blues Festival takes place in Pembrokeshire (Wales) over the weekend of 13 – 15 November with an exciting and varied line-up, plus new events such as the Blues Quiz and the Open Mic sessions.

The main venue for the Tenby Blues Festival is the Chevron Stage in the De Valence Pavilion where American soul/blues star Earl Thomas supported by Paddy Milner’s Big Sounds kicks off the festival on the Friday evening followed by R’n’B legends Nine Below Zeroon Saturday. Both evenings have a full programme of support acts.

The more intimate FBM Stage in the Rugby Club hosts an exciting lunchtime and evening programme that includes festival newcomers Dave Arcari with his electrifying punk-blues and all girl blues band Chix Wiv Pix, plus artists such as Christopher Rees and Sean Taylor.

There is also the famous Pub and Club Trail – twelve hours of free music where you can hear the best local acts and up and coming blues stars from all over the UK, as well as an assortment of hipsters, flipsters and fingerpoppin’ daddies doing their thing in the Brains Late Night sessions at the Giltar Hotel.
