16th Annual Telluride Blues & Brews Festival, Sept. ’09
The 16th Annual Telluride Blues & Brews Festival will be held September 18th – 20th, 2009, at Telluride Town Park. One of the most scenic music festivals in the country, the Telluride Blues & Brews Festival takes place in Telluride, CO, a world-famous resort town in the heart of the Rocky Mountains.
The festival is a three-day celebration of music and microbrews, held in Telluride Town Park, an outdoor music venue with breathtaking mountains for a backdrop. By day, experience live blues, rock, gospel and soul performances, the best microbrews in Colorado, a wide variety of food and craft vendors, children’s activities and more – all on festival grounds. By night, follow the festival as it flows into the town of Telluride, with late night juke joints and after-hours jams.
The performers for the 16th Annual Telluride Blues & Brews Festival include: Joe Cocker, Buddy Guy, Bonnie Raitt, Taj Mahal, BonTaj Roulet, Anders Osborne, Umphrey’s McGee, Saint Jude, Jackie Greene, Xavier Rudd, Otis Taylor’s African Orchestra, Jason Ricci & New Blood, Ruthie Foster, Super Chikan and the Fighting Cocks, Ryan Shaw, Carolyn Wonderland, The Lee Boys, JP Soars & the Red Hots, Lukas Nelson & Promise of the Real and Aftergrass.
The Grand Tasting takes place on the festival grounds on Saturday, September 19, 2009, from noon-3 pm. Enjoy live music while sampling over 100 beers from 50 microbreweries from the Southwestern United States and beyond.
