Posted on August 4th, 2008

Malmo, Sweden’s third largest city hosts the Malmo Festival on 15-22 August. This is one of Sweden’s biggest and best loved festivals and since 1985, this annual fun-filled week has attracted more and more visitors from near and far. Here you will have the chance to see and listen to a long list of international and Swedish artists. This festival offers a great mix of folk and world music, cabaret shows, classical music, hip-hop, blues, jazz, swing and of course, the best of Swedish dance bands.

Different styles of music will have their own dedicated huge marquees, where you can listen to your favourite type of music all day long.

At the Malmo Festival you can also experience the fantasy of film, the drama of theatre and the magic of dance. Choose from different types of cultural expressions and broaden your horizons.

As always, visitors will be offered a gastronomic trip around the world, satisfying the appetites of vegans and carnivores alike. It promises to be an experience of international tastes and flavours which you will remember for a long time to come. Why not try some Swedish reindeer meet, or maybe elk? If you fancy Turkish, Greek, Thai, Vegan or Vegetarian – it will all be there too.
