Powered by the Wind, the Sun and the People, Europe’s biggest eco-festival, The Big Green Gathering, returns stronger than ever this summer and has sold out of early bird tickets in record time.

The highly anticipated 5-day event also celebrates its 15th anniversary this year with a fresh new format and smashing line up to be announced soon.

BGG is the highlight of the calendar for the green movement and attracts activists and festival goers of all ages who flock annually for the innovative new music, entertainment, art and sustainable living.

Leading the green charge, the family friendly camping festival promises to be bigger and better than ever this year, re-vamping much loved on-site areas.

Big Green Gathering has been providing inspiration for over a decade, spearheading the sustainable events industry that has now become so popular.

Innovators in their field, Big Green Gathering grew out of Glastonbury’s Green Fields and hosts several themed zones, each showcasing a vision of sustainable living in harmony with theatre, sculpture, arts and crafts, live and acoustic music, talks, workshops and a huge kids area.

Penny Kemp, director of Big Green Gathering said:

The Big Green Gathering started in 1994 with a clear remit to show the public that a festival can be fun, educational and remain at the cutting edge.

The festival is powered by the wind, sun and the people and is a mixture of eclectic entertainment mixed with a powerful message on the need for sustainable lifestyles.

A walk around site will show you theatre, clowns, dance, poetry, solar powered cinema, music, workshops, green markets, campaigns, earth energies, permaculture, Tipis, fairground, sustainable homes, and daily discussions with panels of prominent experts.

Watch this space for exciting band announcements coming soon as Big Green Gathering showcase the best in alternative, underground music along with some of the industries most acclaimed acts; none of them playing for big fees or glory but because they, like everyone else, support the event and are part of the movement.

Not many festivals can claim to change your life, but the Big Green Gathering sets out to do just that providing the most heart warming experiences in a unique environment.
